Projection of a plan (e.g. a flat roof) to a groundplan (e.g. the ground)

Hi everybody

I’m trying to find a function that can project plans (in my case roof plans) down to the same level (the ground), so then afterwards I can measure the perimeter of it all. I hope that makes sence.

Unfortunately, I can’t find any such function… Can you help me? I’m very new in this, so I hope the question is not too bad…

With a few custom nodes from archi-lab.net and Clockwork, it should be quite easy to achieve this:

 

The outcome in Revit:

 

 

Tho, it’d be a lot easier to just set the view’s underlay to the roof’s level.
