Place Fire Dampers Using MEPover MEPFitting Node

you can upload to filetransfer, webtransfer etc, and share the link here

ok

sorry i cant create that issue…try if this one here work

damp.dyn (19.3 KB)

Hi again, why it’s placing more than once instead of placing it in the intersecting point?

yeah it was just a test as i dont have any model so i could intersect as you only share duct model…yeah guess i do it for 4…see the codeblock…0.1…0.9…#4… if you have trouble with intersect and need help with that you need share the link file as well… for intersect, but that is another topic…so just create a new and share all dataset and we can try help

try as here i have run the whole model and filter out thes duct there already have a terminal in wall, so there isnt space for damper…i have 2 there fail in connection, not sure why…probably it can be fixed as well…play around with it

EDIT here without warning and disconnection

Hi again, I found the issue, it’s in this one duct that have three connecter so instead of connecting to the FD it’s getting connected to the other connecter as shown in the picture, any suggested solution ?

nope not sure

i couldnt create that issue on your sample if i remember  but you cold try with element.split by point in all wall intersection and then insert and connect a damper…and see if it more stable

Here is an example with split…you will need genius loci
