Hey,
Is there a way to work out if a Revit material is assigned to anything within a Revit project or not? I’m trying to clean out the materials library in my revit template.
Thanks,

Welcome to the community! The Purge Unused command should provide a list of materials not being used.
There‘s a performance advisor rule that you can run that gives you all unused families and types. I think it also returns unused materials. You would then have to filter out everything that is not a material. After deleting the materials, run the rule again to identify purgeable material assets (if you want to get rid of those as well).
