Is there a way to detect which elements are at the boundary of a space? Walls, floors, ceilings?

At the moment I don’t really have anything. I was playing with the thought of detecting the elements around a space with the goal of extracting the areas.
Doing so, we could determine the amount of plaster/paint, which isn’t drawn at the moment.
