The IT department has a complete lock on the TEMP folder negating any program install from it. Is there any work around? I was informed that sometime, some virus initiated from this folder and that is why they don’t allow anything to install from the TEMP folder. I think this is a little draconian. I really want to get the company moving and understanding how Dynamo can change our workflow and building data management, although that is very difficult if we can not install it. My only solution might be to find a new job at a firm that is open to new programs such as dynamo and do not have such heavy handed lock downs from IT.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated! Although, I figure I am SOL.
