Trace a CAD outline - All layer 0

I have some PDFs that I want to trace so I’ve stuck them in AutoCAD shudder and exploded them.
This means all the lines are on layer 0.

I’d like to trace only the outline - anyone have any idea how I can go about this?

If it were on layers i’d just select layer and trace that, I can trace all easily but I’d like just the outline.

To add difficulty there are a lot of windows:

That will trace ALL the layers or just SOME of the layers…

The CAD is all layer 0 and I’d like just the outline.
