Basic question:
I’m just curious why the materials Dynamo and DynamoError are created and how and when they are used.

They’re used for Revit’s background preview and as a default material for Dynamo generated Direct Shapes. If not found, they’re automatically created as needed.

And making Revit recreate these materials slows down the launch if they don’t exist. The takeaway: don’t purge them every Tuesday night for the model share and then question why Dynamo takes so long to open as a plugin every Wednesday morning…
