Structural family or sweep along nurbscurve

Hi there,

I’m trying to create a curved stringer with a Structural CHS family to follow a curve or use a sweep of some description. Please see the screen shot below.

I’ve tried to use the solid by sweep, but for the profile it’s seems to be asking for a curve not a profile family which is confusing.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I think that you can transform your familly type to curves.

Hi James, the node solid by sweep expects a closed plycurve as a profile. You can, as bah mentions it, extract a polycurve from a profile family thanks to the Polycurve by profile fa;ily type (from the grimshaw package) beam by curve I hope this gets you where you want.

Mostafa, I can’t find the grimshaw package from Lunchbox. Do you know where I can find it?

The problem the Structuralframing.BeamByCurve node it needs a level and half of the time I need it for a vertical curve.
