That’s not what’s happening though. None of that deals with studs, so how does the wall width determine which studs are part of that wall? You need to get all stud instances and check to see which walls they intersect with. That will tell you the wall type and therefor the wall width.

Yes. When a stud is installed in a wall it will automatically measure the width of the wall before placing it there and will adapt to that wall width.

You need to be specific about what you’re trying to do. Are you now saying you want to place the studs along the wall with the correct width? Your initial question was about modifying the existing studs to match the wall width. These are two very different workflows and would address the sizing issue in different ways. It’s best that you do some more research, figure out exactly how you want this process to work, and then come back with specific questions regarding your determined workflow. Otherwise we just keep guessing and asking questions in circles.
