Selecting tags that have no Type Mark value inside of Revit

Hi everyone,

I have been trying all morning to select tags inside of my Revit model that have no Type Mark value to be deleted via Dynamo.
I’ve tried every formula script I could find and every post on this website but I have had no luck.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and knows what to do.

I am asking this question as we have a relatively large project coming ahead and we are figuring out the fastest/most efficient way to tag the walls along with its accuracy.

Kind regards,

jean-Luc

Hi Jean-Luc,

Tags, by themselves, do not have any type marks. They inherit the properties of their host element. From what I understand, you’re possibly trying to find all wall types that do not have a type mark? If that’s the case, you’ll be better off by evaluating the document’s wall types and not the tags themselves.

If I haven’t understood your intent, here’s a discussion that explores in depth the method of identifying “empty” tags:

Thank you so much mate, I’ve been pulling out my hair for the last 4 hours trying to figure out what’s going on and how to do it.
