Hey all,

I’m wondering if anyone has seen a node or knows of a custom code block to read the “Date Taken” file info from a .jpeg file. I know virtually nothing about writing python script myself so my reliance on premade nodes is pretty much 100%.

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: Looks like the info I need is EXIF data. I found this on the web:

> **[Extracting date and time from images with Python](https://orthallelous.wordpress.com/2015/04/19/extracting-date-and-time-from-images-with-python/)**

> For my time lapse script (which I’ve used to make this and this) I needed a way to get the date of when the image was taken for sorting purposes.
