For Revit 2026 using Dynamo 3.6.2, when I edit the python node to adjust some code it spins for 30 seconds.

Closing and opening Dynamo doesn’t change the behavior.

first uninstall the revit and then reinstall it.

Does this happen with all Python engines? Do you have other Autodesk software, such as 3ds Max?

Happens with both IronPython2 and CPython3, don’t have 3DS max.

In Dynamo Sandbox the code opens immediately, I will uninstall some packages and see if it’s related to that.

Solution was disabling Revit add-ins, eventually found the one causing an issue. But I’m not sure how the Revit Add-in would affect the editing of the Python node.

Loading a conflicting version of the components used for the UI, a Python library pr components, or any other aspect. Look at the DLLs contained in that add-in as that can narrow it down.
