Point @ parameter vs point @ equal segment length on ellipse

On an ellipse imported from Revit I ran a point @ parameter node with a “0…1…#13” value.
To the same ellipse I ran a Points at equal segment length with an “8” value. (there is an issue there regarding the first point, but let’s ignore that for now)
I thought that both nodes would produce points in the same location, but they do not.
Can anyone point to the logic behind the point at parameter result for the ellipse?

I thought this was addressed in the past but I can’t find the post.
