Pipe intersections

I’m a draftsman, and I have a problem I might be able to help me with. I model electrical and telecommunications networks, and I have a project for an apartment building where many pipes run through the slab. I use specific levels for each discipline, but I still end up with many crossings, and I have to create splices one by one. I’d like to know if there’s a faster way to generate these splices automatically. Thank you very much.

Soy dibujante, tengo un inconveniente que de pronto me puedan ayudar, modelo redes eléctricas, telecomunicaciones, tengo un proyecto de una torre de aptos, donde por la losa pasa mucha tuberías, manejo unos niveles específicos para cada disciplina pero de igual forma se me generan muchos cruces y me toca hacer puentes uno por uno, quisiera saber si hay una manera mas rápida, de que esos puentes se generen automáticamente. Hello @licen_german i probably misunderstand you wanna split pipes in levels ??? and now its electrical you doin do you then mean Conduits ??? if will be 2 different ways then


Here’s an example: I’m running a connection between a wall outlet and another one on a different wall at the -0.05 level, but the line crosses another conduit running at the same elevation. I can’t lower either conduit because that space is already crowded with other lines, so I have to create bypasses to avoid the clash; however, this type of intersection happens frequently, and I end up having to create the bypasses one by one.

arhhh i see..can you show what you have tried so far in Dynamo…here is some examples guess is for ducts and pipes…its a little bit different for cabletrays and conduits among other things keep the run connected …but could be a start …play around with that and show us if you get stock and we can try help from there,


Okay, I understand. I haven’t tried anything yet because I’m just starting to learn and understand how Dynamo works, and I wanted to apply it to the issue I’m facing. While researching, I came across something called MEPover; I don’t know exactly how it works, but I read that it really helps with automation in MEP modeling. Thanks a lot for the help—I’ll keep it in mind and see if it works for me.

yeah good idea, that package is special build for MEP togheder with the openmep package but not sure that one is up to date…good luck
