Location of openings

im trying to find location of different elements, but when i select floor or ceiling “opening”, the location nodes do not show any location! why is that? and is there a way to find it?

it shows that the opening is not a valid curve?! how do i convert an opening to a curve?

Did you try the Element.BoundingBox ?

There is probably some work around with getting the sketch lines of the opening or something.

But to me the real answer is to stop using Opening elements and just make your own (hosted or unhosted) opening families, so many advantages (being able to control shape, naming/coding convention, nesting symbolic lines, being a ‘regular’ family for purposes like your question) over the limited Opening commands.
