# Issue with Codeblock

I cannot use codeblock.

I cannot enter anything. Also my old codes are showing blank in the codeblocks.

First up…

You’re using an unsupported build of Revit. 2021 is 2 years outside of support, whichy means you are using a tool in production (with customizations no less) which hasn’t had any security patches for ~18 months or so. This puts your company at risk. Update to 2023 or later (ideally later unless your project will finish before April). If you’re not in here daily and just need a quick thing it’s likely fine, but consistent and continued use is a problem.

The reason this has happened with the code block is you’ve got a DLL conflict between either a Revit add-in or a Dynamo customization. Disable all Revit add-ins and see if that fixes it. If not, disable all Dynamo packages and extensions. If it still persists confirm everything is disabled (check your Revit journals to confirm).

Working fine now. Maybe I installed the wrong version of Crumple. It was the last package I install..

Out IT is very stubborn. Don’t want to update the Dynamo though we are using Revit 2024…
