# How to determine the centerline of a beam

Hi @bimtanpd i have a quick test on the cad you shared, on TAN\_BEAM\_B the right one on your image, and as you see its just about sorting, here is an example, can probably be made more elegant, but what i have time for now, a few will fail, but could be fixed, but then more sorting 😉 and will probably need another sorting on your left image…for cad layer then use bimorph should work in 23…play around with it 😉 😉 and as i mention its sometimes easyer do it in cad 😉
