Family Instance Wrong Location

I have managed to place a nested family instance multiple times and to inherit the length, height and location of pre-existing walls.

The family instances are configured correctly, however, l have to select all family instances located and configured, then press the ‘spacebar’ twice, which then forces the family to get back to the correct location.

Any thoughts why the family is reacting in this way?

The issue could be with your wall, your dyn file, or your family. Impossible to know which without spending a lot of time guessing randomly.

Please post your graph, the family in question, and a sample Revit project for people to test with.
