Hi all,
I’m encountering a weird error while using Element Change Level node from GeniusLoci and for some reason some elements change level and some of the get just a “false” error.
Has anyone encountered this before?
what are those elements? walls can not change.
Framing elements. Beams.
Can you please share a sample file so that I can try and experiment?
As @_Vijay mentioned, some elements cannot have their elevation changed directly. These elements usually inherit or reference level constraints in a different way. Rather than a blanket change to all elements at a given level, you’d be better off filtering by category to isolate the elements that can have their level modified directly from those that would require an alternate method. You’ll then have to develop logic for each of those alternative methods as well.
Hi all,
Thank you for the answers. Unfortunately, I cannot share my model. It’s a weird thing, I’m only trying to change the level of beams, and some of them work, and some of them don’t.
I’ll post the answer here when I figure it out.
The need isn’t the full model, but two levels (one which the beams are on and one which you want to set them to) and two beams (one which allows the level to set, and one which doesn’t).
Open detached, delete everything else (including materials), purge unused 4x, save, link into a new file created from ‘’ using the template. Link the file with the two beams into that, bind the file, and save it over the previous. That resulting file will have no information of any use other than replicating your problem and as such it should be good to share. Alternatively start a new project from ‘none’ and generate the two beams in the new file without setting the content.
My guess is that you have a worksharing issue, design option, or group which prevents modification in some way.
