Hello,
In Dynamo Player, is it possible to have the SELECT MODEL ELEMENT(s) node as an optional input?

Indeed, if SELECT MODEL ELEMENT(s) is declared as an input in Dynamo Player, it must be used to execute the script.

Why I’m asking for this:
In my script, I have SELECT MODEL ELEMENT and SELECT MODEL ELEMENTS.

Outside of PLAYER, it works fine; I can make a single or multiple selection.

But in Player, both nodes must be used.

Maybe just use Select Model Elements
Either way, it works when you choose 1 element or more elements right?

Data-Shapes is the standard package for custom and dynamic inputs. But as @Potato mentioned, in your case, you could just use the one selection method for both. You’ve presumably already setup your graph to handle both list structures, so nothing else needs to change.

With Select Model Elements, is it possible to select only one element? I’ll test it.

Yes, it’s possible.
It’s simple and effective.
Thank you.
