# Dynamaps not working

it says: “DynaMapsNodesFunctions. Error in the LiveFootPrint operation.  
Cannot load type ‘Autodesk.Revit.DB.DisplayUnitType’ from assembly ‘RevitAPI, Version=24.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null’.”

Hi everyone I’m new using revit program, i wanted to use the dynamaps to generate a map in a project but i have this problem like null or something i dont undertand. I don’t know what to do, I can’t generate any map, i hope someone can help me with this problem

Looks like either you’re on an old version of Dynamaps, or it hasn’t been updated to work with Revit 2023+.

You might want to consider Forma, FormIt, Open street maps and Elk, or another alternative.

Dynamaps, unfortunately, has not been updated in quite some time. Additionally, it is not Open-Source, so other community members can’t even help rebuild it.

Elk is quite good for this type of task once you have the OSM data, though I do find Forma preferable from an ease of use perspective.
