# Combine an object name and string to create new object name

Hi, I have a script that creates offset alignments, and it works fine. I would like however the name of the new alignment to include the parent alignment name automatically eg: “ **Alingment - Mainstreet** \_Offset Alignment”. I have tried converting object to string and combining the strings, list combine and a few more but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

you can use the CivilObject.Name OOTB node and code block.
