Change Pipe fittings type with different pipe sizes

Hi guys I have a question for you:

I drew LTHW pipes in revit using Carbon Steel CS EN 10255 Heavy which is Threaded but the problem is that in reality we will use threaded pipe fittings when the pipe size is between Ø8mm and Ø50mm and Victaulic when the pipes are between Ø65mm and Ø300mm.

Do you think it’s possible to create a script that:

1. check the LTHW pipes (only for flow not return) that I have in an active view in Revit
2. check the pipe fittings (bends and Tees) that are connected to those LTHW F pipes that I have in that active view
3. check the Ø of the closest pipes that are connected to those pipe fittings
4. change the pipe fittings types with this rules:
   A) If the biggest pipe connected to the pipe fitting is <= Ø50mm then the pipe fitting has to be threaded
   B) if the biggest pipe connected to the pipe fitting is => Ø65mm then the pipe fitting has to be Victaulic

Please find attached a link for a Revit Model. In this model you can see both: threaded pipe fittings and Victaulic pipe fittings.

You just need to sort through the Size of each fitting. Your conversion will probably be easier too since you’re in metric.
