Hey guys is there a way to automate the creation of view plans of each appartment with the cropzone aligning exactly on the outer boundary of the boudnary walls of each appartment? exactly like this image , my main aim is to have the view crop zone aligning exactly on the exterior side of the boudnary walls of each appartment! heres my file

My first thought would be to look at utilising area boundaries and going from there

hi thanks , but im not using areas! im using rooms! should i create areas out of groups of rooms ?

i would try rooms ,space boundery walls, clockwork have one for that, so you can get thickness of these wall, so you can offset with that distance

but im not using areas! im using rooms! should i create areas out of groups of rooms ?

yeah thats what i mean rooms or spaces bounderies

is there a way to get the boundary walls of the boundary of grouped rooms? and not boundary walls of each room? since im working on appartments and not single rooms?

not really sure what you mean by grouped rooms ?

in this image you see i h vae the 3 bright red rooms they all belong to the A001 appartment(for exemple ) is there a way(node) to extract the walls on the outer boundary which touch the red line!

so the bright red is one single room ?

the 3 bright red zone are 3 seperate rooms but they belong to the same appartment! i want the appartment boundary walls! do you get what i mean?

yeap think so…

when i use Room.Boundaries node i get all the walls of all the rooms exemple is A001 has 3 rooms and each room has 3 boundary walls i get all 9 walls as a list!

yeah make sense…

so thats why maybe i thought of turning each group of rooms into one area , but idk i areas can give outer boundary walls of the areas!

im almost sure it could be made without, but havent tried sooo  and guees in your case / image, but lets say you have many walls in one room, with different thickness…it will probably be anoteher situation

sure let me know if you have any insight thanks!

yeah usually we do have different walls with different thickness! but i need a node or something to get me the outer boundary walls of the entire appartment(groups of rooms) and not just per room!

yeah sure

@amir.kharrat

I would use the Rooms boundaries.
You can use those to make one new boundary containing all your Rooms.
I believe there are a few topic on this forum touching this topic.

For example

You probably have to change it a little.
Like maybe Group your Rooms by a Parameter value
OR
Get the Group and then get the Rooms that are in that Group.

You can use the (new Curve) for your Crop Region.
